Roles and Responsibilities:
- Issuance of surgical supplies to the patients as per requisitions raised by unit receptionist/nurses on floors.
- Receive stocks as per defined par levels and follow up on non-available items
- Stack the received stocks in designated area.
- Following FEFO (first expire – first out)
- Periodic stock verification (Critical counts, Expiry checking) and documentation
- Ensure
timely use of near expiry items by coordinating with other outlets and
coordinating timely return to SIDS where applicable - Clean and maintain the work premises and storage bins. And maintaining outlet for audits
- Refund unused items from patient bill after reconciliation.
- Coordinate with nursing staff to keep the item usage in control as per the daily usage limit defined in system.
- Ensure that the item and manufacturer name matches in system with that of physical.
- Ensure
traceability of items from lot and expiry esp. where it not printed on
individual packs, or changes after opening the pack. - Issuance to walk in patients on cash (Where applicable).
Shifa International Hospitals Limited
The idea of Shifa International Hospitals Limited was conceived by a team of expatriate healthcare professionals in 1985 in New York, USA. Their objective was to provide international standard medical care to the people of Pakistan.
After much discussion, it was decided to begin this project in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. In 1987, the Hospital was incorporated as a Private Limited Company and then later converted into a Public Limited Company as the only hospital listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange. Shifa was officially opened in 1993, with 8 OPD Clinics & 36 beds.
